Kimi Räikkönen has never liked long trips. That's why he eagerly skipped flying marathons like Australia, New Zealand and Argentina during his rally season.
Singapore is however a different thing although it takes 12 hours to fly here from Switzerland. Getting used to the six-hour jet lag is completely painless for Räikkönen, because his working days start in the evening.
I chatted with Räikkönen's trainer Mark Arnall about the differences schedule-wise this weekend and we came to the conclusion, that Singapore's evening race probably is most suitable for Kimi's physics and mind.
Awakening at the hotel is at 3 p.m. After that the man isn't as drowsy as he normally is in the morning. The breakfast goes down quickly. After that he grabs his backpack, puts on his striped shorts - and off he goes to the paddock.
Räikkönen will go to bed after a delicous sushi-dinner late at night - or rather when he gets tired. According to Arnall Kimi can quickly fall asleep and the man can snore for 12 hours in a row - unless he is wakened up.
Of course Thursday in Singapore was as numb to Räikkönen as it was to everyone else. Kimi is dead tired of speculating about his possibilities before he has even drove his first practise with the car.
However they believe strongly inside the team, that the Lotus-car will be considerably more competitive on this track than it was in Spa and Monza. And that is not speculation, it's simulated data-information from Enstone!

Gosto muito quando Mark fala sobre como é a rotina de Kimi. E como já sabemos de longa data, Mr. Räikkönen é um excelente dorminhoco! rsrsrs
Sobre os dois últimos parágrafos do texto, se a gente já fica de saco cheio dos rumores, imagino ele. E tive que rir da confiança do time sobre o carro nesta corrida de Cingapura. É, o carro está bem mais "competitivo" mesmo!
