When Kimi and Grosjean drive in such a traditional French team as the former Renault-team, it's clear that the team premises attract especially the Finnish and French media.
The French reporters can't pronounce Räikkönen's name even close and we Finns have the same problems pronouncing Grosjean's name correctly.
French photographer Jean-Francois Galeron, who also sends photos to Turun Sanomat, he asked if I perhaps need some of his photos to the magazine. After thinking for a moment I turned to the guy and told that I would want one picture of Grosjean.
However the pronouncing went so badly that the French gentleman thought I was asking for a croissant. He apologized telling that he has only cookies. I put all the 'r'-letters to the game and finally he got the message that I asked for GROSSaan, not croissant.
I can assure you that this small mix-up awakened joy in the team also. One thing is for sure, they will now serve me croissants from morning to evening.
Grosjean seems to be so fast that he might challenge Räikkönen in qualification almost as fiercly as Nico Rosberg challenged Michael Schumacher when he returned back to F1.
The French media is pleased. They sit in Grosjean's interviews just as tightly as us few Finnish reporters sit in Räikkönen's table.
So far at least the spirit of togetherness is like it should be. It will be a different thing once Räikkönen gets everything in his car the way he wants it. Grosjean's smile might freeze after that...
