Hintsa doesn't see that Räikkönen would have Schumi's comeback-problems

Aki Hintsa, who belongs to one of the world's leading sport physicians has polished McLaren's top performance with his High Performance -project.

Kimi Räikkönen was one of Hintsa's first F1-drivers he worked with. Hintsa believes that Räikkönen can still achieve toplevel performances after two years.

– Physically Kimi is surely just as strong as he was before. It's clear that the comeback to F1 is easier for Kimi than it was for Michael Schumacher two years ago.

– First of all Kimi is so much younger than Michael. Secondly he hasn't been away for that long and he has raced during that time in a demanding racing serie, Hintsa thinks.

Schumacher will turn 43 years in January. Räikkönen turned 32 last October.

– At that stage of life a difference of ten years is a big factor in top sport. When a sportsman turns 40 his time for reaction slows down naturally. You simply can't do anything about it. You can't change the time for reaction backwards like a clock.

Schumacher kept a three years break and he turned 40 during that time.

Last season Schumacher became the oldest driver leading a GP-race in 41 years. In Japan he drove in the lead for three laps. He was 42 years and 279 days old.

Only one leading a race at an older age is Jack Brabham at 44 years and 107 days in Britain's GP 1970.

Schumacher has the record of leading 142 GP-races during his career, all and all 24.144 kilometers.
