Villeneuve to race in Andorra
9th, December, 2010

Jacques Villeneuve has confirmed that he will compete in the second round of the Andros Trophy in Andorra this weekend.

The Canadian racer enjoyed his maiden ice racing experience last weekend in Val Thorens, when the 1997 F1 World Champion claimed an impressive 10th place overall in his debut race meeting.

Villeneuve will now return to the cockpit of the No. 3 Skoda Fabia “Silhouette” earlier than anticipated, and is looking forward to the challenge: “I initially signed to compete with Skoda at Val Thorens, l’Alpe d’Huez, Saint Dié and Super Besse. However we had so much fun over the Val Thorens race weekend that I’m delighted to be coming to Andorra."

Andros Trophy positions going into the second event are as follows:

1. Alain Prost, 154 pts
2. Jean-Philippe Dayraut, 150 pts
3. Bertrand Balas, 146 pts
4. Evens Stievenart, 144 pts
5. Jean-Baptiste Dubourg, 142 pts
6. Olivier Panis, 136 pts
7. Romain Grosjean, 135 pts
8. Olivier Pernaut, 134 pts
9. Hervé Knapick, 128 pts
10. Jacques Villeneuve, 119 pts
