Raikkonen continues after incident

Kimi Raikkonen is continuing in the Rally de France, despite dropping 37 minutes after going off the road on the day's second stage.

The Finn had been running seventh but has now dropped to 50th position. The Citroen Junior Team has confirmed the C4 WRC was undamaged in the accident.

A spokesman from the team said: "We have spoken to the crew for two minutes by telephone after the stage. It seems Kimi went off in a very slow right hand corner, just before a hairpin left. We think the car went off the road at about 20km/h.

"The problem was that the car was down a bank and off the road and there were too few spectators in the area. It took 37 minutes to get the car out, but they are continuing. The car is completely undamaged."

Having dropped so much time, Raikkonen will be running out of order and much further down the field, where he will be forced to catch and overtake cars ahead - particularly in the 35-kilometre Pays d'Ormont stage which he is about to start.

At the head of the field, Sebastien Loeb continues to lead, extending his advantage to 25.1 seconds on the morning's first two stages.
