Alonso gets first F1 taste of Fiorano

Fernando Alonso got his first taste of Ferrari's private test track in a Formula One car yesterday when he took the F10 for a run at Fiorano. The Spaniard completed a few laps of the track for promotional purposes, with the team filming the action for use by their partners and on their website.

On Thursday, Alonso was in the Scuderia's simulator preparing for his second home race of the season, next weekend's European Grand Prix in Valencia, before taking part in some on-track action with a group of Ferrari owners.

The F10 will sport a major upgrade next weekend in Valencia as the team looks to reel in the frontrunners and get back into the championship fight.
